Annapolis (April 7, 2019) — The Prince George's County House Delegation statement on the passing of Maryland House Speaker, Michael E. Busch:

Chair Michael A. Jackson, of the Prince George's County House Delegation, released the following statement on the passing away of Speaker Michael E. Busch. 

“The Delegation is saddened to learn of the passing of the Speaker, an integral member of the Maryland General Assembly as he leaves a legacy that transcends the span of time. The Delegation will always be grateful for such a visionary as Speaker Busch who encouraged a generation of upcoming political and community leaders to focus on creating ideas that prevail in good times and bad. He will be cemented in history as a lifelong advocate for justice, peace and civility.

As we approach the upcoming memorial services, we will continue to pray for the repose of his soul and that his entire family receives the graces they need in this difficult time.”

Formed in 1955, the Prince George's Delegation meets to draft and review local legislative proposals and policies affecting Prince George's County.
