Legacy Leadership Maryland

 

Legacy Leadership Maryland provides a bridge between the needs of local communities and government in the State of Maryland.  This internship program includes classroom instruction and utilizes the expertise of Maryland residents age 50+ in order to facilitate their transition into new careers as Volunteer Service Leaders.  Envision this unique opportunity to contribute significantly to the political environment in the State of Maryland by capitalizing on your experience while serving as an intern in a legislative office in Annapolis or in municipal government.

 

Classes start Tuesday, September 23, 2003, and meet every Tuesday & Thursday for 8 weeks totaling 64 hours of instruction and site visits.  State and municipal government officials, educators and experts in leadership and volunteerism teach the instructional sessions.  Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele will officiate at the opening session.  Chief Judge Robert Bell, Senator Mike Miller, President of the Senate, Delegate Carolyn J. B. Howard, Chair of the Prince George’s County Delegation and twelve Prince George’s County Legislators are this sessions affiliated faculty and/or mentors for our Legacy Leaders.

 

The 2004 legislative session begins on Wednesday, January 14, 2004 and Legacy Leadership Maryland needs your energy, expertise, and skills.  At no cost to you, participate in the internship program that develops informed, motivated and committed Maryland residents age 50+ for volunteer leadership in the State of Maryland.
