Minutes of Organizational Meeting:            Thursday, January 29, 2004

Call to Order:  9:45 a.m.                                Adjourned:  10:45 a.m.

 

Members in Attendance:       Delegate Joanne C. Benson, Chair; Delegate Victor R. Ramirez, Vice-Chair, Delegate Mary Conroy, Delegate Anne Healey, Delegate Veronica Turner

 

Members Absent:                  Delegate Dereck Davis, Delegate Joseph Vallario, Jr., and Delegate Brian Moe

The meeting convened at 9:45 a.m.

 

Delegate Benson began by calling the meeting to order thanking the members in attendance for their presence and patience as we began 15 minutes late.  Delegate Benson then asked the committee members to review the final copy of the Bill Schedule to ensure the committee will be able to progress through the schedule as outlined. 

 

Prior to opening the floor Delegate Benson announced that the Law Enforcement Committee would meet promptly on Thursday mornings at 8:45 a.m. in the Prince George's County Delegation Room.

 

Delegate Healey moved that PG 338-04 be made unfavorable for the purpose of withdrawing it from the bill schedule.  Motion seconded by Delegate Conroy.

 

No Discussion

 

Vote:  4 Yea, 4 absent Motion passed

 

Status PG 338-04 WITHDRAWN

 

Delegate Turner moved to adjourn the open meeting and close the session in accordance with State Government Article 10-508(a)1)(i) to discuss a personnel matter.

 

Delegate Benson called for the vote.

The vote passed unanimously.  No further action taken.

 

Open meeting adjourned at 10:00 am

Closed session began at 10:05 am

Closed session adjourned at 10:45 am
