Delegate James E. Proctor, Jr.

On Thursday, September 10, Delegate James E. Proctor, Jr. died at 79 years of age. Proctor had dedicated more than 25 years of service to Maryland’s citizens, representing Calvert, Charles, and Prince George’s Counties in the 27 and 27A Legislative Districts since he was first elected in 1990.

Proctor lived a life filled with service. Prior to being elected, Proctor dedicated 17 years to educating Maryland’s youth as a principal and educator in Prince George’s County Public Schools. He also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1961 to 1962.

Proctor was married to Elizabeth Susie Proctor. He had two children and three grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements will be announced, once they have been arranged by his family.
